Ute Creek Cut-off
1 reviews
 5 of 5

This trail begins as a smooth gentle path through an aspen grove, but very quickly becomes a rugged downhill ride over rocky drop offs as it follows a seasonal creek bed down into the valley below.

Summary:
This was one of the funnest trails I've ridden. If you ever ride the San juan huts systems, Teluride to Moab route this is a must. you'll pick up this trail on the fifth day after a stay at the Grahm cabin. you definately need long travel, full suspension to enjoy this ride. It is a blast. I had panniers on the back of my dare and had 2 rear flats on the way down. Bring tubes!! most of this trail is in the dry creek bed or wash-out so it is like surfing the walls of a skateboard park with rocky drop-offs thown in. The descent is approx. 1000 feet. There are a few short but steep climbs thrown in the mix too. Great views all the way through.
