Trail Directions
Start in town of Steamboat; head for Strawberry Park (we usually take the path up by the school) and then take the road up Buffalo Pass. Ride to Dry Lake Campground and look for trail on right side of road near the sign. Take off for some really great singletrack downhill which takes you back to town.

Summary:
Spring creek is very pretty but as other reviewers said there is a lot of foot traffic on it. The best time to go is early in the season or real early in the morning. As the brush grows in the summer it gets real high so you must go slow down the trail because there are runners and hiker around the blind curve.
I would recommend this for a person just getting into Mountain Bike riding. Not very hard and very scenic. Once you are comfortable with this trail time to move on.

Recommended Route:
There is only one way up and one way down.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Mad Creek, Mount Warner Trail System by Stemboat Resorts, and Howelson Hill (Emerald Mountain)

Summary:
I am new to the area and this is the first trail I rode in Steamboat. It was recommended by the fine folks at Sore Saddle Cyclery. It is very good trail if you want a quick workout. Not very technical at all and there are only two climbs that will really get your heart going and they are very short. It has a lot of foot traffic and inexpierenced riders so beware. Hey it's in Steamboat so its all good!

Recommended Route:
Leave from the High School

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Get a copy of the Steamboat Trail guide there are lots of great rides in the area.

This ride ould be fun if the trail were a lot more narrow and had about 95% fewer users. Good place for beginner, but not really anybody else.

Summary:
this is a improved surface trail and not what many would call singletrack it is good for people without technical skills but want to get away from the cars. it is a popular trail and encounters with hikers are the standard so speed has to be kept low

Recommended Route:
starting in town this is an unexciteing double track up spring creek. it's good if it has just rained and everything else is muddy. because it is gravel, it also makes a good night ride

Other recommended trails in the same area:
anything on Emerald mt or hot springs
