Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a great trail to develope some skills. There is skill building information located along the trail with infomation such as climbing and desending hills, ethics ect... I always take newby's here for the first ride. There is lots of technical stuff in the area, but this is the best ride for learning or just a nice fun ride with the family. Recommended Route: At the trail head go left, you will have a fun down hill at the end this way, there is also a by pass on the top to go another lap, or take the same hill down that you came up. Other recommended trails in the same area: Many trails in this area, mary's loop is next to this loop, and 16rd is not far away either.

Weekend Warrior Summary: For an east coast rider of limited ability and not a youngster, this was an excellent get acquainted ride. I rode it clockwise, which is the recommended way. It has just a few short climbs, but has a sample of fast singletrack as well as some short singletrack. The CW ride has stops with short instructional plaques. The 3.6 mile trail is well thought out. Since I was the only one there last Monday, I rode it CCW as well and it was a hoot for this outta season, outta shape 56 year old. It is also adjacent to Mary's Loop and Horsetheif Canyon trails and makes a great warm up for the more experienced rider prior to riding the more demanding trails in this area. Suggest www.gjmountainbiking.com for trail discriptions in the Grand Junction area.

Weekend Warrior Summary: First half of this ride is a complete waste of time. (If this is your first ride in Fruita, you'll wonder why you came here) However the second half picks up with a few ups and downs. Overall, if you're not a beginner, save your legs for other trails. Recommended Route: clockwise Other recommended trails in the same area: horsethief

, from Chicago Summary: This trail's a good warm up or place for beginners to get their feet wet. There's not a ton of climbing but there's great singletrack. Good views and a good final descent. It was our first ride out there (from Chicago) and couldn't be a better first ride. Recommended Route: Consult trail map
