Weekend Warrior Summary: Very enjoyable for a non-technical rider. Had to hike the bike through some boulder areas, but it was worth it. Also, watch out for the loose gravel near the boulders. Took lots of photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/uberall/sets/72157600356716833/
If you're in the Pikes Peak area, this is a must ride!
Recommended Route: Consensus seems to clockwise. This route also rewards you at the end with some fast fun single track through the trees.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Beautiful scenery, Fun trail. Not too technical except for one or two places that just looked impossible. Was out visiting my family in Colorado and found this trail about 10 miles from their house. I'm used to dirt in Kansas and a lot more rocks and roots, but this was a nice change. Certainly beats the scenery in KS. Recommended Route: CLOCKWISE!!! Other recommended trails in the same area: I hear monarch crest is nice but I didn't get a chance to get down there.. will go next time

Cross Country Rider Summary: Cool trail. If you like the Buffalo Creek area then the pea sized granite will not bother you one bit. Not the ups and downs of chutes and ladders (fruita) but remindes me of that. Can be technical in spots but was more carefull riding it for first time, can be doen in spots and in others, yeah right. Banged my climbing bars on rocks a few times. Great views and what a suprise low water levels!! Recommended Route: see everbody elses directions, will take you right there. Other recommended trails in the same area: first time doing springs area trails

, from Bailey, Colorado Summary: Okay, I wish I had read the reviews first about riding CLOCKWISE! I had been fighting fires all summer and my lungs were "toast"! The scenery was incredible; the hills were exhilerating; some of the technical spots were "almost difficult"; and yes, it also reminded me of many of the trails "back east"(the tree roots, the rocks, the tight singletrack)...all in all, this was my first ride but I'd definately do it again~next time with cleaner lungs!!! Enjoy, and watch the edge. (maybe I'll just swim across next time!) I recommend this trail for anyone that's adventurous and willing...be patient. Recommended Route: My friend and I parked at the trailhead (@7 miles behind Woodland Park McDonald's) and rode COUNTERCLOCKWISE!
