Fast loamy descent through Aspen and Spruce forest. Two creek crossings. Well maintained. Stay off if raining hard or very wet. Many variations at bottom.

Summary:
lets set the the record straight. chick flick is not the name of this trail nor are any of the other names correct as listed by the pornographically challenged and racist oriented 1st reviewer. the correct name of this area is basalt mountain and the correct names of all the trails are known as the basalt mountain loops 1A, 1B, 2,3,and 4. The area was developed as a riding arena years ago by the forest service along with a lot of heavy prodding and leadership from the self proclaimed "all mighty wouzel", aka billy ward of el jebel. you do not need a local to ride this area. all the trails are clearly marked on the latitude 40 map for aspen-crested butte, available in many stores throughout the roaring fork valley. Fun area, chick flick is actually loop #2. Try loop 3 to 4 to 1B. this is around 17-18 miles and boarderline epic. a true local's classic that minimzes the road.

Recommended Route:
same as described

Other recommended trails in the same area:
hay park, mushroom rock, hobbit-sunnyside, government, boarderline, scout, broderich-perham.

Summary:
This trail is perfect for taking your sig.other or out of town sea level weezer who is a capable bike handler but may not not be up to the standard 4 hour loups. It is fun enough to ride 3 or 4 times (as laps) if your fit. Easy spin up, fast descent with a few tricky spots to get sick on. Car camping opportunities 5 mins ride from trailhead also 50 miles of 2 other loups. All fire road up and singy down.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
The variations: Sneak a Quicky, She Loves to Poke, Whipped out My Big 3 Inch and Dead Mexican. Find a local and link up these variations for 2 1/2 hours of fun.
