Summary:
out and back / point to point trail. start at breck ski resort quicksilver lift and start climbing the rest of the way to blue river. pretty technical climbing the whole way but not super hard if u are aclimated and in relatively good shape. all the climbing is worth it when u turn arounf and haul ass back down. watch out for sharp rocks and slow hikers! u could make this a downhill shuttle by driving out to blue river and finding the trail head near the mohawk lakes road.

Recommended Route:
out and back from breck

Other recommended trails in the same area:
peaks trail, blue river trail, CT< super happy fun trail(if u can find it!)

Summary:
I hear a lot of good things about thsi ride, but I was very disaapointed when I rode it. I did this ride with a group of friends and connected it to the Spuce creek trail. The Burro trail is more a 4x4 trail or dual track with bowling ball size rocks littered about, it wasn't very technical or fast, or fun. I would recommend the Colorado trail from Georgia pass down the the villa's at Swans nest

Recommended Route:
Base of peak 9 follow up hill towards stable break left and follow the signs

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Colorado trail, etc

Summary:
They'd pick us up at the bell tower mall which I understand is no longer there. If you go south on Highway 9 up into Blue River you can make a right on Spruce Creek road. Continue up for a few miles. The trail at the time was not marked well. You just gotta keep your eyes open and look to the right. You'll see a sorta off camber trailhead and its all downhill to Breck. Its a good ride. we were able to get it down in like 11 minutes, that was flying, let me tell ya!!!!

Recommended Route:
A friend had a downhill rig, I have a Santa Cruz Heckler. We had another friend shuttle us from spruce creek road.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Colorado Trail...off the north or middle forks of the Swan river. Also the flume trails near French Gulch, they Are a ton of fun for a quickie!!!

Summary:
Do not forget the purpose of the "BURRO". This is a hub trail to the larger trails in the area.
The trail itself is a very nice multi-purpose trail. There is nothing technical about it, just lots of rocks. Watch out for hikers and horses! For one of the truly great trails in the area, do the following;
At the Quicksilver chairlift head up into the ski area on the service roads. Keep going until yo hit the "Wheeler Trail". You have worked hard to get to this point. Head left (I think thats north) and continue on a faint singletrack that crosses the flat marshy area. Follow this trail all the way to the saddle in the mountain. THE DOWNHILL NOW BEGINS. This is a very rough, steep, and technical descent. Hang on for dear life. The 1,000 foot drop on the right is your imagination (not really). At the bottom of this trail you will intersect the Spruce Creek trail. This trail is awesome, high speed doubletrack. Take this trail to its intersection with the Burro trail, the final 3 miles are all downhill. You will come out at exactly the same place that you started. This is a 10 mile (estimate) loop that has everything you could ever want in mountain biking. The views are stunning, the climbs are monsters, the downhills are awesome. Do this trail with a buddy, there are many area's that you could get hurt at.

Recommended Route:
There is really only 1 route.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
North Wheeler, South Wheeler, Spruce Creek, McCollogh Gulch.

Summary:
this trail is straight up, and then straight down. it climbs out of the town along the southern side of the ski slopes, and then forks left... it climbs and climbs through rocks and then comes out at junctions where you will find 4x4 driving, and lots of hikers. always yield to those hikers so that we don't get a bad rap. anyway, the trail is extremely rocky, and full suspension is great to have on the way down. its not the best ride, because the rocks are infinite, but, it is a great training run, and it can be done late in the evening if you just gotta ride. you go up and come down on the same trail, so plan accordingly. there are a few trails off to the left in the beginning that traverse over to the ski slopes and hook up to their trail system, which is very scenic with alpine meadows... lots of flowers in the summer. anyway, if you want a technical, rocky ride, this is it.

Recommended Route:
ride up it, and then bomb down

Other recommended trails in the same area:
colorado trail, bankers tank, indiana, pennsylvania, sallie barber mine, ski slopes
