Benchmark

Once you've located Mill Creek Road start climbing. The entire climb is intermediate, long but not too steep. At roughly three miles from the village you'll have the option to either descend down to Chair 10 (a right) or continue up Mill Creek which is also known as Commando Run on the upper portions. Go up Mill Creek, don't descend to chair 10. The entire climb to the top of Benchmark is about 10 miles and 3,250 vertical. It is all double track, but very enjoyable up and down. From the top of Benchmark you'll have the option of descending Commando to Two Elk trail and either descending to I-70 about 2.5 miles (east) or descending to Minturn about 12 miles (west) either way is single track. Going to Minturn is infinitely more brutal and a better ride. Or, you can continue to the South and climb Bowman's shortcut back to the top of Shrine Pass road. This is an excellent ride and I rate it as advanced due to distance and vertical. It can be extreme if you go Two Elk (either way) or Bowman's.

Ridden Trail:
Every few months

Summary:
Okay, Net is not only an idiot, but he's also illiterate! Read his review: "Benchmark can the portal to a whole new kind or hyperspace."
What the hell are you trying to say, Net? Since you're from Trollville I have to assume you're a troll and you're speaking in your native tongue and what you're really saying is, "I'm a complete dork and only I like to rub bacon on myself for the sheepdogs to enjoy."
To those of you who are interested in riding this trail, come on out and enjoy yourselves. There's not a single local with a shotgun, with the possible exception of Net, but he's only ridden this trail once, so I wouldn't worry too much. But you might want to look out for the sheepdogs. But they're usually very friendly. I once saw one humping Net's leg, but he kind of likes that shit!
As for the locals not wanting you to crowd their turf, its pure bullshit. Ride responsibly and be friendly to us locals and you'll have a great time. By the way, Net, I'll be at the world's next year in Vail if you'd like to follow up your shotgun threat. I'll be racing for team Mountain Cycle in the semi-proDH category. Peace, bro! Flatlander Heidi.

As few as possible We don't need flatland Heidi's crowding our turf. Stay away and watch out for the locals with shotguns.
