South Table Mesa

Average Rating:    (4 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 3

Mellow, flowy trail network on top of south table mesa. Trails have many spurs and links so it can be confusing at times. About half singletrack and half doubletrack, depending on how you ride the network. Follow the outer edge of the mesa for the best ride.

Summary:
Nice easy trail close to town. Lots of interconnected singletrack if you explore off the bigger main trails.

Recommended Route:
Follow the north edge of the mesa from Castle Rock around to the Denver side of the mountain and loop back.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Apex, North Table Mountain

Summary:
Great beginner trail and great local trail to have in your backyard. No crazy downhill, no shade, but great views of downtown Denver and downtown Golden.

Recommended Route:
Choose your poison. I prefer going up next to the National Renewable Energy Lab's visitor center, but there is no parking- mainly a local route. Go down Ancient Palm trail as it is a better downhill than up.
