Rabbit Mountain

Average Rating:    (4 of 5)

Fun, moderately technical quick ride close to Boulder, Longmont, and Lyons.

The trail starts up along an open, south-facing slope and heads north and east to a ridge which commands stunning views to the south and east along the Front Range. Topping out near the summit of Rabbit Mountain the trail forms a keyhole loop that basicallyfollows the contour of the mountain in and out of scrub pine forest and across several outstanding views.

The track is mostly broken rock, gravel, and a few ledgy sections with a handful of moderately technical sections. Overall a decent quick workout with a good rhythm and excellent scenery close to town.

technical but not as difficult as Hall ranch, a short ride usually takes about less than a hour

Recommended Route:
for a EZ route up the dirt road .5 miles and right on Eagle wind. it's a lollypop, when you get to loop I prefer going to the right

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Hall ranch antelope and Heil rnach picture rock
