Summary:
when mountain bike trails are snowy and non-excessable I find myself doing magnolia road just inside boulder canyon alot! You can park your vehicle right at the left turn for magnolia rd so its extremely easy to find. The climing begins immediately and stays gruling for 3 miles than you get a small reprieve and back up you go for another mile or so of climbing until you reach a pull-off/overlook area on your right where you rewarded with a stellar view looking northwards into the sugarloaf mtn area. this road is excessively steep so roadbiders avoid it but mtn bikes have low enough gears to get up it. This climb makes most mtn bike trails seem easy if done a few times in a row!

Recommended Route:
park along the south side boulder creek canyon road right next to magnolia road and start climbing up towards the west. once you come to the part of the road to where it starts loosing elevation for a short distance keep going and it will start getting real hard again. Once you get past the second switchback keep going and the overlook will be on your right looking in a northerly direction. You can keep going but soon after the road turns to dirt thus making the lookout a perfect rest and turn around point

Other recommended trails in the same area:
the 4 roads! Magnolia road, Sugarloaf road, Flagstaff road, and Lookout road when trails are snowy

hay indo-BOY, go hop on your road bike and peddle up it!, than when the road turns to dirt than you can re-evaluate your decision on weather or not you should have taken your mountain bike. Than you can think to yourself "guess I was the tool." on another note.....pull your head out of your____and read the review. I think I can read ing-lish properly...... its says "when mtn bike trails are snowy and non- excessable" If you want I'll give you 5 bucks to go buy a clue!
