Reservoir Ridge
1 reviews
 4 of 5

This is a fun little downhill stretching from Horsetooth down to Overland. Nothing outlandish at all, just a smooth decent. Near the top you''ll find a bunch of loose rock, as if the trail is a dried up riverbed. No jumps or anything that should throw you from the trail.

Trail Directions
Follow the Shoreline Trail on the east side of the reservoir north until you reach the top of the last hill before the end of the reservoir. You'll cross the street and dam a couple times as you go along the Shoreline Trail to get here. When you reach the top of the last hill (you'll be riding on the road right now), there is a trail that jets out east, with a quick ascent to the top of the hogback, and then down to the city.

Summary:
Res. Ridge is a great little section of singletrack for sure. I use it more as a tool to prep for bigger DH sections in HTMP and LSP. It's great for speed skills and "light" DH practice. You can make it as cool as you want. Just lookin' to polish some rusty skills? Take it easy and use yer' brakes. Lookin' for a fast pace prep course to gain some confidence before a big trip to the hills? Let it rip and do it again. And again, and again, and again.

Recommended Route:
Could bike from town....or park @ Michaud, or park @ the west lot on the other side. There 3 descents from the top so get up one and take yer' pick. If yer' lookin' for more, link Res. Ridge to Foothills and Shoreline and Maxwell and Pineridge.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Wathen, Timber, Maxwell,
