Summary:
Very cool stuff. my first taste of western mt biking. nothing like this in the midwest. very cool, i'm a big fan of the waterbars. The climbs were big but huge rewards in the form of downhill w/jumps (waterbars). I went 4x4ing on "devil's canyon" on the way up to mt evans and pole hill is a lot smoother road which is good for biking but i was dissappointed that i didn't see a single other biker or even a bike track the entire ride. where does everyone go mt biking in the denver area? or in colorado in general? i was expecting to see more mt bikers. later.

Recommended Route:
loop around til you get back to big intersection which leads to parking lot.

Summary:
It is the coolest trail. You can just go out there and go around in Circles. You do have to watch out for the hummers.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
One good trail is called Peirson Park its around the same area. The best bet is to get the little book of the areas trails, you can get it at the bike shop

Summary:
You could spend a half day here exploring different routes. Lots of climbs, good downhill, roller coaster rides at the bottom in the valley. Outside of initial steep climb/descent, the valley area is great for all abilities although there are more options in different directions out of the valley. Pretty sandy, dusty. Most climbs end with rock outcroppings with great views into Rocky Mtn NP. Didn't see a single other rider after 2.5 hours. Saw two hikers and two Humvees. Watch out for the Humvees!

Recommended Route:
Lots of options. Fun in every direction. I just rode til I eventually made it back to my car.

Summary:
Start by driving to the top of the forest road. Park vehicle in little outlet next to gate. Trail starts off with a rather steep climb. After the climb, a small descent with ruts and loose rocks. You will come to a T in the road to either go left or right. Go right and be ready for some lung popping up hill. You will come to another section of a choice of left or right. Again stay to the right and be ready for some more uphill. Once at the top be ready for a steep descent. The descent is sandy and rocky so be ready for anything. At the bottom of the hill you will ride into a meadow. Take a right at meadow into some more downhill. Watch out for the wire crossing the road as soon as you take a right from the meadow. It is only there to keep out the 4x4's. This is the best part of the trail. Roller coaster ride with many jumps. You will come to another T in the road. Again stay to the right. After a small downhill you will come to another T. This time go left. The right, which is a steep uphill, just heads to private property. Going left heads downhill a little bit, and then some more uphill. From here it is pretty much rolling hills. The trail will connect back at the first T you came to. Overall ride is about 7-8 miles. Many different options to take on this loop. Try them all, they each have their fun spots. The trail takes place on 4x4 roads so watch for trucks. Lots of campers and 4x4 on the weekends. Pretty technical trail that many mountain bikers do not know about.

Recommended Route:
Stay to the right on the first few climbs. Climb is steep, but the downhill on the other side is great.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Lions Gulch, Horseshoe loop, Mount Croiser.
