Ridden Trail: Once a week

Cross Country Rider Summary: Just like any trail anywhere, you CAN make Pineridge as cool as you want it to be. Great for newbies? Sure! But it's also perfect for an everyday ride just to keep things circulating. A couple climbs are desent. A couple descents are pretty cool for what they are. And you have a few rock gardens worthy of a beginner's dismount. If yer' lookin' for gnarly' DH. Don't bother. If your lookin' for endless climbs (for some reason). Don't bother. But if you lookin' for a fun and moderate ride after a hard day at work or before, this will do and may even put a smile on yer' face.
Couple things though...It gets super windy in the evenings. I mean really windy. 2 flat tire, extra 100 pound windy, ya dig?
And another thing, mind the bobcats and rattlesnakes, they are no joke. Recommended Route: Dog park and up and up. Drop down to either side. Counterclockwise is more fun for speed on the south end. Clockwise is more fun for the Dh sections. Remember. It is what you make it. Have fun. Other recommended trails in the same area: Maxwell, Timber, Wathen, Foothills

Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail is right on the edge of town and somewhat out in the open, so there's no sense of being in the mountains. It is not challenging in any way. However, it is usually firm and fast. There are just enough bends that you can practice some high-speed yanking and banking. This is a great place to bring a newbie you are hoping to get jazzed about the sport. Recommended Route: Ride counterclockwise. Then combine with Maxwell to get a bit of a workout.

, from Fort Collins Summary: This trail is a great trail to start out with. If you are new to mtb or just want to test out your equipment. Any new componets added or set up changes I do to my bike this is the place I go to check them out. Nothing too hard but a lot of fun for a hour. Please be kind to all the beginners remember we all had to start somewhere and this is one of the best places to start. Recommended Route: Dog park to dog park.

Reviewed by: Summary: This is definately a beginner's MTB trail, but a pretty nice one. If you're a beginner and a bit out of shape (as I am) some of the climbs will have you huffing, but they also won't leave you too damged at the end of the ride. Nice scenery, peaceful surroundings, and enough rocks to keep things interesting. I'm sure hard core downhillers and advanced cross-coutry riders would be bored, but I like it just fine. For me, it's been a good place to learn what I think is the essence of good off-road riding: balance and control. Recommended Route: Hammer up from the Dog Park at the end of Horsetooth Road, and then take your pick of fun, smooth, easy downhills from the ridge. From there, follow your nose...

, from denver Summary: right now, due to construction this trail sucks, depending on where you start there is a little hill work, but nothing that requires you to bust a sweat. I was there for 2 hours, rode every inch of trail over there, nothing at all techincal. Ceaned it the whole time. If the trail going behind the stadium was open the trail would be much better, and longer. There are much better places to ride in the Fort area, until they have opened access to more trails in the pine ridge area. Recommended Route: does not matter, they all lead to the same place and all connect to each other, just a big loop of easy trails Other recommended trails in the same area: see other reivews
