Cross Country Rider Summary: The trail is broken up by private property in Manitou. From Crystal Park Road West, the trail deadends. To go further you have to descend 1.5 miles and go up to the cemetary to continue on the trail. From there it will take you to Ruxton Ave, then up to Barr Trail or Ute Indian Trail. Let's get these two trails connected so one could ride from Section 16 or even Cheyenne Canyon to the Pikes Peak Summit or Cascade, CO (Waldo Canyon)! The potential is so close! Recommended Route: Warning, since the City is purchasing the Red Rocks Canyon for a city park, there will be much more traffic on this trail between Crystal Park Rd. and Section 16! Other recommended trails in the same area: Let's get them all connected for some real endurance rides!

, from Colorado Springs Summary: This trail can also be ridden as a loop. When you get to the sec. 16 pkgn lot. Instead of starting at the trail head. Try riding up Gold Camp about a mile or so to trail that heads off to the right off of the gravel road. Just follow the trail around and you will come out at the trail head right where you parked. This an incredible workout but the down-hill is worth the all the burning in the legs and the lung butter hacked up riding up Gold Camp. A good hour and a half ride depending on the shape you're in. Some sections of the down-hill are technical. You should only ride this trail if you're an experienced rider. NOT for the beginners. Recommended Route: Same as described. Other recommended trails in the same area: Bear Creek. Captain Jacks. I recommend the upper half.

, from Colorado Springs, CO Summary: An amazing mix of technical, cardio climbs, exposure and downhill. Switchbacks, stairs, etc. This trail has a little bit of EVERYTHING on it. Rode the whole thing yesterday afternoon for the first time. All the way from Section 16 lot to the end of the Paul Inteman Trail. At Crystal Park road, cross over and continue another mile to the end of the trail. Out portion is primarily climb with a VERY rewarding downhill on the way back! Trail is ONLY 6 miles out AND back but throws a little of everything at you including a total of over 2,300ft of combined vertical (recorded on a Specialized P.Brain cyclometer). Not very much traffic at this time of the year (early January), trail is REALLY fun with lots of hard pack snow and ice. Makes those blind exposed corners VERY interesting! I'd reccomend this ride to advanced or better riders only.
Recommended Route: Out and back - ALL the way to the trail end.
