Morrisson Slide Secret
1 reviews
 5 of 5

A pristine jewel of technical singletrack like nowhere else. As you recover from the climb up to the overlook, let your senses expand and you will see this locals-only secret. Only the bravest should attempt, but the rewards will be well worth it.

Summary:
Morrison slide is actually a trail in Matthews/Winters park in the Jefferson County Open Space. The North side of the hill the trail goes up is a pretty easy climb really. Down the South side gets a little tricky but really not extreme. Going up the south side is definetely harder, but can be cleaned. If you want to work on technical aspects of your ride, jump over to the hog back which is Dikota Ridge.

Recommended Route:
Start at Dikota Ridge which is the hogback to the east of Matthews/Winters park. South on Dikota to red rocks trail to Morrison Slide. Left on the slide, up and down the other side back to the hog back.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
White ranch, Apex, just about all Jeff Co open space trails. www.co.jefferson.co.us Bookmark openspace.
