Cross Country Rider Summary: Res. Ridge and Michaud are great little sections of singletrack for sure. I use them more as tools to prep for bigger DH sections in HTMP and LSP. They're great for speed skills and "light" DH practice. You can make them as cool as you want. Just lookin' to polish some rusty skills? Take it easy and use yer' brakes. Lookin' for a fast pace prep course to gain some confidence before a big trip to the hills? Let it rip and do them again. And again, and again, and again.
Recommended Route: Ride from town...or you could park @ Michaud, or the western-facing slope lot. If you want more singletrack, link Res. Ridge to Foothills, and Shoreline, and Maxwell, loop around Pineridge and do it all again. Other recommended trails in the same area: Wathen, Timber, Maxwell

Cross Country Rider Summary: I Used to run this trail with my dog because I thought the downhill rocky section would be the end of my bike. Well , One day I gave it a shot, turning down off the ridge there is a rocky technical part that I took too fast and received a prostate exam from my seat. I would strongly advise FS for anyone who likes to speed down this hill.
Over all a great ride.
Recommended Route: Put down your Sigdas green chili or sunshine wheat and bike from town. Via Overland/Michaud sign. Other recommended trails in the same area: Buffalo Pass from Coalton to Steamboat

Weekend Warrior Summary: It's a great ride, that's for sure. Not really any "hike-a-bike" sections, so be prepared to ride hard. Whatever you do, don't fall over while you're on the trail! There was one part where I just pansied out and tipped over, too tired to click out. I fell in a patch of cactus. Not those big needle cactuses, I'm talking about those little ones about 1 cm long that just dig into you and you can never get them out. That's a perfect way to ruin a good ride. Recommended Route: go up, and then start going back down

, from Fort collins Summary: I ride this trail almost everyday. I dont know but one short strech of rocks for say 1/4 mile on the trail that can be completely thrashed down. It is great for training but to short. Watch out for closed trails in this area due to the recent dam construction. All in all its a good skill builder. Recommended Route: Start up from the resivor ridge parking lot the climb here is long and grueling. Hang a left at the top of the trail and just follow the loop around. Other recommended trails in the same area: Pine ridge area to behind the stadium.

, from Ft. Collins Summary: This is my favorite ride in ft collins so far. it is not too technical and the route I take has everything, hills decents dropoffs, rocks, animals, cliffs, trees, I am not good enough for the A trail yet but I think this is a good place to start. Recommended Route: I like going down this trail rather than going up. I like to start on campus and ride to the stadium then take the trail next to the fence up to the top of the dam. then cross the road and take the trail that runs parallel to the reservior. ride that till the end and go right on the michaud trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: everything on the dam is fun. lory S P is coo ive heard.
