Cross Country Rider Summary: UNDERRATED. Apex is a GREAT trail network and close to town. The downhill on Enchanted Forest doesn't last long, but while it does it's arguably one of the funnest little sections of trail in Colorado.
Apex does get crowded with a lot of hikers and is best ridden outside of peak user times. Take it slow going down the main Apex trail - much better options for letting it rip exist elsewhere in the park. Recommended Route: Up Apex Trail, loop EF, up Sluice Box, down Pick 'N' Sledge.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Enchanted Forest is slowly being cleaned up. A lot of trees down as of yesterday about half the trail had been cleared.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I love this trail. Soo close to Denver and can be done in a short time. Great for after work and also after riding in the mtns all day, on your way back home hit this trail for once last leg burn before the day is over!! In the fall you will be herds of Elk, dear and rattle snaks so be careful. Very lose and rocky. Awsome downhill. Recommended Route: I like to take the lookout mtn trial and then head down Apex and bomb it. I reached 28mph on a 5 inch trail bike with a few of my professional riders in front of me!! This trail is great to train on as well in the early season!! Other recommended trails in the same area: red rocks rocks as well!! not as good but a nice ride but weekends are too packed. but there is some good "things" to look at. Also hit White Ranch, Bergen Peak Loop in the bomb. 3 sisters as well!!

Downhiller Summary: This is a good trail for cross training. If you go early in the morning you can avoid XC riders and get some good fast runs. Not very technical, but still fun

Cross Country Rider Summary: Great ride with lots of climb. Enchanted Forest offers great singletrack with roots and short steep climbs that can usually be cruised up if you are going fast enough. Grubstake is a fun fast trail! Best on weekday afternoons or very early on weekends. Recommended Route: Up the Apex to the top of Enchanted Forest. Down Enchanted Forest back to Apex, up sluicebox, down Grubstake. Also the trail is now linked to Golden and a great loop is to play in Apex and then go up and across Lookout and down Chimney gulch for 3+ miles of downhill. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dakota Ridge, White ranch
