Ridden Trail: Once a week

Cross Country Rider Summary: Phase 2 of this trail has been completed to make a loop (check the uploaded map). Once you come down out of the hills (switchbacks after "The Gauntlet"), you enter an old logging road that runs through the bottomland. This T's onto a somewhat more heavily traveled road that runs out to some cleared land with a small lake. But if you see all that, you've gone too far. You should instead make 225-degree left to head back up the hill. This road gets kinda rough, but if you can hang with it, you eventually dump out onto Lance Dr. Turn right to get to Thorpe Dr., take it down the hill back to Williams Ranch Rd. Then you have a nice road ride to cool down! Recommended Route: The hill up from the bottoms to Lance Dr. is best ridden down, which would mean that you are taking the trail clockwise. However, the trailhead off of Lance Dr. is really hard to find in this direction, so I recommend that you ride counter-clockwise the first couple of times you do it. Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is very, very rocky. I ride a hardtail and found it to be just a little too rocky for me but it should be ok for those with full suspension rides. The rocks aren't too bad, they just kept coming and didn't allow time to sit on the saddle and rest. However, the trail is fairly short. I would not recomend it for new or novice riders. Cadron Settlement is much better for new mountain bikers if you are in the Conway area. Other recommended trails in the same area: Cadron Settlement
