Racer Summary: I have never seen as much poision oak and ivy in my life as we did on the green trail. Another 24 hrs will tell if we escaped without injury. Hopefully the degreaser bath helped. Seriously, it was hard to enjoy the trail for fear of getting rash from head to toe. Take away the 2.5 ft high posion oak "bushes" (didn't know it got that big)hanging into the trail, and the spider webs and you're left with a nice trail. Some areas were overgrown with harmless bushes too. I believe the extra light getting under the canopy after the ice storm has allowed the undergrowth to flourish. Challenging rock gardens with some fast stuff. Would be faster if not for all the loose marble like gravel. Checked out the orange loop but didn't ride. Also ate up with poision plants. Recommended Route: The one without posion plants. Other recommended trails in the same area: The roads are nice.

Cross Country Rider Summary: We rode Bad Branch the first day, it was very slow and frustrating. It seemed everytime I would get into a groove I would have to stop and go around a tree or slow down for a huge hole (left by up rooted trees). The Second day we rode the Green loop and Orange loop, which both were in great condition. These two trails really suited me for my rider experience and endurance level. Great weekend! Recommended Route: Green to orange. Other recommended trails in the same area: Camp Robinson, Burns Park, Allsopp

Racer Summary: The trails have been cleared of 90% of the trees. There are some spots that uprooted trees have left large holes in the middle of the trail. The storm put a severe hurt on this awesome trail. Still, this is the best trail system in the midwest. Red loop is super fast. Blue and Orange loop are both very technical and steep. Green is short but super fun with a great view over the river. Yellow may be my favorite because of the variety of terrain and another great view. Recommended Route: Red, Yellow and Green Loops Other recommended trails in the same area: Pigeon Creek (Mountain Home) and Lake Leatherwood (Eureka Springs).

Cross Country Rider Summary: We went in early March, and all the trails were closed. They'd had an ice storm and the tree damage was really terrible.

Weekend Warrior Summary: The park service will tell you the trails are closed until May. When they say closed, I believe they mean ride at your own risk. There is a sign at the beginning of the orange trail that says the orange trail is closed on weekdays from 8am to 5pm because they are logging. I rode on Saturday so it didn't matter. I was able to ride all of the orange loop (awesome trail - rode clockwise) I got on the blue loop from orange however after 2-3 miles I ran into many downed trees and had to turn around. I'm not sure about red and yellow loops. Green is mostly ride-able. Bring plenty of water and calories. I got 6-7 flats, thorns are really bad, and pine seeds get stuck in tires. I ran out of tubes and patches and had to walk out the last mile. I am converting to tubeless for next time. Other recommended trails in the same area: Council bluffs - much better than the berryman horse trail.
