Summary:
pretty kick ass resource for central ark riders. you must have a CARP membership or be military to ride here. you can get a CARP card at Arkansas Cycling and Fitness for 10 bucks (they also have the only decent map). like previous posts state, there are many trails out here some quite challenging. what you will find: mostly well maintained trails, no monster climbs, and a lot of tight single track.

you now only check in at the main gate, no more having to check in at the police station.

Recommended Route:
many trails but really only one main entrance.
easy trails: airport loop, two bridges, yucca
harder: ball of nails, advanced trig, buddha

Other recommended trails in the same area:
burns park

Summary:
Awesome trail system of 40 miles of rip roaring super silky singletrack. When I have time this is the best place to ride in Central AR (LR & NLR area). The only downside is that it takes a little longer to get to and from the trailhead due to security checkpoints b/c the trails are on an army base. But the trails are so sweet it is well worth the extra 15 min. I feel very lucky to even get to ride out there at all. Everything from super easy and flat like the Yucca Trail to hardcore like Advanced Trig and everything in between to make any rider leave with a smile.

Recommended Route:
Yucca Trail to Airport Loop to Buddha to Love Trail to Ball of Nails to Advanced Trig to Buddha to Airport to Outer Loop to Christmas Tree Loop down Elevator to Flatlands back up Elevator to finish Christmas Tree Loop w/ the Christmas Tree Extension back up Yucca to the trailhead. You could get lost and ride here for days, it's awesome.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Burns Park & Alsopp Park

Summary:
These are some of the best trails in Arkansas. It is definitely worth the $10 C.A.R.P. membership. The trails are well maintained and very flowing. You can get some great speed on most of the trails. They can be a bit technical in places, mostly loose rock gardens. There is a good but of wildlife out there to. It can be a hassle getting on base every time you want to ride, but it's worth it. Make sure to sign in at the fire station, it is for your safety, especially if you ride alone like I do. Make sure to carry plenty of water, there is no place to fill up.

Recommended Route:
All of them!! I like to change up my route every time, it keeps the trails interesting.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
The Hot Springs area is packed full of great trails.

This is a great trail systems. Pain in the butt to get on base every day, but worth it. Not the most technical, but great for honing your skills.
