Weekend Warrior Summary: It can be pretty fun in the mud. The best trail out there is along the power lines by the substation. There are several "playgrounds out there and the Belle Vista Village have but up steel wire to keep people from riding down the side of the dam. IT is mostly used for screwing around on an atv or suv. It ok for some local fun but don't drive out of the way to see it, with better places in the area. Recommended Route: Follow along the powerlines to the south next to the substation. Other recommended trails in the same area: Check out Devils Den State Par.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is not a great trail, but it does have some fun elements and it is close to home for me. It follows some unpaved roads, service roads, ATV trails, and occasional singletrack. The ATV portions have created really gravelly portions and have caused some pretty good erosion in spots. This is a trail that I like to ride when the weather turns wet because I don't feel bad about tearing up the trail - the ATV's do a good enough job of that. If you can hit this trail when the ATV traffic is low, it can be a lot of fun. Don't miss the downhill from Brittany Dam and the dips that the ATV riders have created. This is a good practice course. Advanced riders can ride this area with their beginner friends. DO NOT make a special trip to ride this trail - it's really only good for people that live nearby or are in town and can't ride anywhere else. Recommended Route: Park on Avenby Ln off of Trafalgar and ride to Britany Dam. Turn around and ride parallel to Grosvenor Dr. to the practice pit on the eastern end. There are several spurs with technical challenges that the rider can select to suit his ability. Try the jumps, drops, and steep climbs. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lake Fayetteville, Moore's Mountain, Lake Leatherwood
