Single track. Some open areas for passing. Hardpack surface. River bottom woodland area. Rolling hills with lots of sharp turns.

Ridden Trail:
Once a week

Summary:
I've been riding this trail for the past couple of weeks - it's in great shape right now. The Springhill Classic bike race was held here a couple of weeks ago, so the weeds are down to a minimum. The profile for this trail looks a little dated, as the total trail length is now about 9.5 miles. The "new" section goes west under the Highway 59 overpass. As mentioned in the other reviews, this ride is pretty flat but very twisty. Watch for sandy corners down towards the river, about 4-5 miles into the ride. This is my first year on the MTB - I hope the trail is passable the rest of the summer since the canopy of trees will keep you as cool as possible during hot Arkansas summers.

Summary:
I enjoy this trail. It is mostly in and out under a heavy canopy of trees. not a lot of climbing, nor downhills. The one major problem in late summer and fall is spiders! they make large webs across the trail and wait. Nothing takes the fun out of a ride than a spider crawling on your face!

Summary:
This trail was pretty fun. It has been cleared up a bit due to recent race activity. not terrible technical but can definately be a fun place to push the limits of speed on a windy trail. Overall and enjoyable ride, especially for those that don't quite consider themselves a pro

Recommended Route:
the first portion of the trail is windy in and out of trees, when the trail crosses the first paved road, it becomes less windy and more speed, in grassy fields and open spaces.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
womble trail in Mt. Ida A MUST
Fianna Hills,... a jawbreaker
Southside High...No longer exists

Summary:
Horrible. Overgrown with stinging stickers, brush and fallen trees. Apparently gets no traffic or trail work. Locals say conditions are better in winter, but the trail is usually closed then. Low quality.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Stans in Fayetteville (now closed)
Miners Rock at Leatherwood (now closed)
Southside HS Ft Smith (now closed)

Summary:
This is a nice trial. All single track with lots of turns. This would be a great trial to start biking on if you are new to the sport. There are no real challenges on the trail. It's just fun to ride fast. It's one of the only trails I can think of that I have ridden in the top ring the entire time. Bottom line you can fly on this trail. I rode on a Sunday in December and was suprised at how many people I saw on it. If you are in Fort Smith it's a good ride.

Recommended Route:
Either direction works well.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Fossil Flats, Leatherwood, Lake Fayetteville
