Summary:
All of the trails in this area were a blast. The beacham trail had some fairly challenging technical terrain. Miners rock was possibly the funnest trail that I have ridden to date. We rode it clock wise. There is a killer climb (approx. 2 miles). The climb deadends at the top, but it is worth the challenge. If you do not feel up to the entire climb the trail cuts off to the right less than half-way up and leads to some killer single track. Some of the single track is on a very steep hill side. So steep in fact that we felt like we were in a "house of fun". Bottom line this trail is awesome. My only complaint is that the trail-heads need to be updated/remarked.

Absolutely fun ride. We parked at the Ball Park with our emphasis set for Twin Knobs and Miner's Rock. They were both pure fun. We didn't travel around the lake or hit the other "so-called" easier trails.

We definitely got our fix on these two trails.

There had recently been some racing, so haystacks were still on parts of the trail. This was our first ride on this trail, so it took us a little while to get our bearings. We missed on of the trail heads and we traveled up a trail too far up the trail where we arrived at an overlook of the powerlines.

This was a very, very fun ride. We were on the trail for 4 hours and only saw one group of four riders.

Twin Knobs was a true work out to reach the top, but it was well worth it. After every uphill you are rewarded with a great downhill. And I agree with all of the comments on the condition of these trails (they were great)!

Also, we both received a rear flat from the trails...

Enjoy,
S6

Summary:
Great trail! Hands down the most fun you'll have on a mountain bike in Northwest Arkansas. Around Lake Leatherwood you'll short steep technical climbs & descents, fast flowing dirt singletrack, long switchback climbs, cool benchcuts through some great scenery... It's got just about everything--and enough of it to keep you occupied for an afternoon. Challenging enough to keep anybody interested, but also plenty of rideable trail for newer mountain bikers with reasonable bike handling skills.

Recommended Route:
Any which way

Fossil flats isn't bad, but Lake Leatherwood is the place to be!

Summary:
Wow what a great trail... I've been riding this trail system over the past few yrs & I have over a two hour drive to get here.... Some leg burning up hills, action packed downhills, small natural jumps (tiny), couple creek crossings, nice bench cut, pretty nice design, make this the true gem in the natural state IMO... I wouldnt recommend this place to a new rider its more for the serious rider who likes some fun downhills..... A MUST RIDE FOR ANY RIDER IN THE AREA.....

Recommended Route:
for good downhills park at the top left dirt parking area on top of the hill when you enter Leatherwood park area, and start out on beecham with the red gate... take the ugly fire road to the first steep hill to the left it will look crap ass and will go up for about a 10 min climb or more its a leg burner... once you get to the top..... Both LEFT or Right take you to some PRIMO downhill sections.... also ride Twin Knobs.... Its taking me close to 100 rides at this location to learn the correct ways to ride this trail once you do its HEAVEN ON EARTH.......... 4 - 6 hours ride time with breaks is what this trail requires and thats missing atleast 1 section of trails around 15 miles of total trail or so......

Other recommended trails in the same area:
THIS THE ONE....... if in the State ride The Womble, Syllamo, Wolfy Pigeon (small trail system), and Leatherwood....

those trails are VERY GOOD.... Syllamo is extra long and HARSH harder then berryman in MO, Wolfy is a fun system, The Womble is one of the better XC trail systems in a 800 mile distance, & Leatherwood is my favorite place other then a few trails in Colorado.....

Summary:
This is a great trail - it has everything. Be careful of the Miner's Rock trail - portions of it are currently closed due to a property dispute. It's too bad because this is the best trail. Most of it is still open, but you cannot ride the full trail from start to finish. Eureka Springs claims to be currently workin on a reroute, but not sure of the ETA.

Recommended Route:
Miner's Rock is great - trespass at your own risk. If riding the Beacham trail, start at the parking area and ride the Fuller trail clockwise until it intersects the Beacham trail. Fuller has some great singletrack.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Devil's Den, Huckleberry Ridge (MO)
