Cross Country Rider Summary: rode today(8/26/06) and found the trail a little disapointing. The trail is very grown up right now. Rode about half of it and had a good time, but the legs got badly cut up by thorns hanging out in the trail. lots of spider webs too. yeah yeah, i know, wahhh. Gonna give it another shot in the fall or winter when it's not so grown up. I think it would be a great trail if it was maintained. Gave it three chilis because it was grown up but if it was maintained it would definately be four.
Bring everything you will need because their is nothing close to the rec area. Recommended Route: I started over the big wooden bridge closest to the highway and went up the stairs. Also tried going through the Ouchita trail, but it was really grown up.
Other recommended trails in the same area: EARTHQUAKE!!! if you're in the area you have to ride earthquake. womble is also very close.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Super-fun trail. Trail is hard pack with a lot of rocky sections. It can be ridden all year. I rode it this early spring after portions of the Womble were submerged in water. A local chicken farmer persuaded me and a friend to give a shot. It's basically an out and back, but there are routes that can take you to the Ouachita Trail. Recommended Route: Follow MTBARK directions Other recommended trails in the same area: Womble, Ouachita, Earthquake Ridge (Mena)

, from Fayetteville Summary: The first trail review is pretty descriptive and right on from the perspective of a hard-tail riders bifocals. The only thing I have to disagree on is the ridability of brushy mountain trail (The creekside one) Sure, it's filled with baby heads and big slick roots, but isn't that what mt.biking is all about? It's scenic and has knee deep creek crossings around every other corner that keep hot kids happy. The trail has been well maintained and picked up since A.R.'s infamous ice storm, and there is even a large suggestion box towards the beging of the trail. Bring a piece of paper to right on and drop the ranger a line. It reads it was put their to help suit YOUR needs, so write something down if you go. Make a good loop out of this area as dude earlier describes and you should have a great time. Also, Womble and Earth Quake ridge are so close! I am giving this trail a 4 just because their are so many other stellar trails in the area. Recommended Route: E-x-p-l-o-r-e

, from Mena, AR Summary: Has some pretty steep climbs not long just steep and you are always climbing it seems at first. But the fun is comming back down what you just went up very fast downhill a few steep climbs that have to be gotten over but then its a blast for about 3 or so miles of fast downhill, dodging rocks and such its great. The trail is in great shape and ready to ride. Recommended Route: Start at the parking lot (park in the day use area and you won't have to pay) go south across the bridge and follow the road till you see the trail head to your right. Follow the trail all the way till you come to a road at this point you can turn around, go back down the road or continue on the Ouachita Trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Earthquake Ridge, Womble, Ouachita Trail
