Summary:
One of the best bike parks for freeriding in the country. I have been to 8 different parks and only Whistler was better. You do see XC bikes here but the more suspension you have the more you will appreciate the trails.

Recommended Route:
All the trails are good. Just look before you leap.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Haven't been but heard there are good XC trails in the area.

Summary:
The last weekend of lift accessed mountian biking for 2004 in Arizona is now in the books. In all, a great season at Sunrise. The trails still rock. The Upper Expert Trail was rerouted this year and added some new challenges but was well recieved by all. The Fungus Trail continued to be worked on and is slowly becomming more of the beginner trail it was intended to be. Chutes and Ladders is starting to show its age (loose boards but still ridable) and hopefully will be revamped next year. We didn't add as much as we would like to have this year, maybe next year. Until next Memorial Day, we will be dreaming of the White Mountains and the best downhill in the state!!

Recommended Route:
Beginner-The Fire Road. Intermediate-Fungus Trail Advanced-Upper Expert or Slippery Rock/Chutes & Ladders

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Nice cross country trails between the campground and the Sunrise parking lot.

Sunrise Is awsome! It is tecnical enough to use a hardtail yet extreme enough to balls out w /a full suspension. and for only $15 a day to ride the lifts its always pointing in the right direction DOWN!! I Love the fact that the people in the area are very cool AllWays gotta stop at the bottom to pick up a burrito.

Recommended Route:
Shutes and Ladders and the trail that My Brother and I started

Summary:
What some call hell I call home. This place is the sh*t. I have probably been there 20 times in the last two years. Roger and his staff have done an excellent job at trail building up there- Thanks! Bring ALL of your safety gear, no spandex please. Large drops, fast technical decents, man made northshore stuff, not a place for newbies. Get yourself a "Comfy" burrito at the bottom of the lift, she is an awesome cook. They open on the 24th of May. Got a new M1 to unleash on it this year, if your a hiker get the hell out of the way!

Recommended Route:
Chutes and ladders- poop chute- the"face" (screamin' disc glowing speed)- and all the others they all rule, freeride right down the middle of the ski slopes they don't mind!

Summary:
Midway is a great trail for a beginner to ski it's fun at the same time you are getting better every time you go down. I would recommend that you take a ski lesson if this is your first time. I ski here every year I have skied other places such as SNOWBOWL IT IS NO COMPETION WITH SUNRISE the lift's take about a hour to get to the half way point. Sunrise takes 2-3 minutes snow bowl also offers thing in the off season such as mountain biking during the off season the really do want you to have fun all year around.

Recommended Route:
Midway
