The backbone of a 35-mile trail network. Narrow, but faily well-groomed. Stairstep climbs for net 500ft elev gain over 3 miles. Bosts numerous bighorn sheep sightings at it''s north end. Trail surface is smooth, but there can be some loose rocks if horses or motorcycles have traversed recently.

Summary:
My brother and I did this trail in February and it was a blast. Not too hot and loads of places to ride. Trails can be faint but great views and both ups and downs. We made it to Sugarloaf Peak and then did a loop back to the start point. Best to stay way east of the canal for the best riding otherwise you get sucked into riding ATV roads and lots of meandering roads around lagoons or marshes. The guys at the bike shop in town don't know squat and were totally unhelpful.
