Trail 62 Ranch Trail
1 reviews
 3 of 5

Trail head 62 on Walker Road contains a portal for this trail (trail 62 Ranch Trail) and trail 305 (Homestead trail).

Take highway 69 to Walker Road (Costco and AM/PM corner) and head south about 3/4 of a mile.

The trail head is on your right hand side and is clearly marked.

Trail 62 is to your right as you come in and trail 305 is to your left as you enter the trail head.

Summary:
I like to call this trail the Charles Bronson memorial trail to the top of Mt Deathwish.

From trail head 62 the route consists of steep uphills followed by more steep uphill sections.

A good dose of loose jagged rocks is thrown in on the entire trail for good measure.

If you like climbing and you like a serious aerobic workout this trail is for you.

Coming from trail 9854 to the west makes this a much more enjoyable trail since it becomes a 3 mile downhill back to the trail head.

I would recommend some armor if you go on this trail as the rocks will definitely pop a cap in your a$$ if you happen to eat it.

Recommended Route:
This trail is actually part of a loop.

I would ride the 305 Homestead trail from the same trail head to the 297.

Both the 305 and 297 trails are reviewed on this site and both offer excellent and fun single track riding.

At the end of trail 297 take trail 52A to 299 to 9854 to 62 and back to where you started.
