Ridden Trail: Every few months

Weekend Warrior Summary: These trails begin about a block from my parent's driveway so I spent many days riding them over my Christmas vacation. There is everything here... you won't be disappointed! Watch for hikers and dogs off leashes and be friendly, as I encountered quite a few. Most were very friendly and amazed "that I can ride my bike on this stuff..." but I got the stink-eye from a few. All trails are marked by rock cairns so it is pretty difficult to get lost.
The climb up Sugarloaf was a bit beyond my climbing ability AND a lung-buster but the view is incredible, not to mention the fantastic downhill. I like to take Teacup down to Soldier Trail for some technical fun. Even the rocky, rutted Tour Jeep road is fun. All in all, this series of trials are the best. Recommended Route: All... find a trailhead and go, go, go!

, from Flagstaff Summary: Even after riding here several times it's still easy to find new a new trail here or there. Lots of nice Sedona dirt with some slickrock mixed in for fun. Short, but sometimes technical climbs and downhills make it fun for advanced riders while they show less skilled friends around. If Beavis was a mountain biker it would make him say "Boiyoiyoiyoiyoiiiinnggggg!!!!" Recommended Route: Just keep riding around in circles... Other recommended trails in the same area: Anywhere. It's Sedona.....

, from flagstaff Summary: Secret Trails is an area south of Brin's Mesa, north of West Sedona, west of Jordan Road and east of Soldier Pass Road. Now, if you can figure THAT out, you deserve to be there. The object of Secret Trails is to get lost and groove on the trail. Do not whine and fret if you do not know where you are at all times. You cannot get lost. You are trapped. You are surrounded by Sedona on 3 sides and sheer mesa walls to the north. Now the bad news. People have loved these trails to death. Coconino National Forest has tried to obliterate the entrances to most of these trails and forbidden access to others. Jordan Trail is a shortcut across this area and part of a larger shortcut across West Sedona that connects digustingly tourist infested Uptown Sedona with Dry Creek Road. There are way plenty other great trails in Sedona. Give Secret a rest and leave it for the locals. Why do you think they call it SECRET? Recommended Route: Start at the very top of Jordan Road. The sign will say Jordan Trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Submarine, Cathedral, Courthouse, Dry Creek Area, anything around The Village of Oak Creek, Carroll Canyon and head up to Flagstaff when Sedona gets too hot.

, from Cario, Egypt Summary: I killed a whole day riding this area. I joined it to Thunder Mountain Trail from near the 7 sacred cows. I climbed up to and along the the face of Capital Butte on a shelf of red sick rock until I could go no farther. Killer views! Drank some wine ate some cheze and then ate the downhill up. Excellent as I found the technical challenge to go with then rolling twisty bits. Recommended Route: Alll over the place! Face of Capital Butte.
