Timber Mesa Trail (near Show Low)
1 reviews
 3 of 5

The first 2.5 miles is very technical, and can be dangerous for unskilled and skilled alike. Very rocky, thin single track creates good challenges for skilled riders. The final 3.5 miles is on fire roads, mostly easy with rough spots here and there. At the transition area, there is a sign which connects to the Panorama trail as well, if you have extra time.

Summary:
The first 2.5-3 miles of this trail is very rocky and can be difficult. It was a challenge and definately requires concentration for the duration of the ride.
For an advanced rider, I'd rate this section a 4.5. For a rider that likes less technical rides, this would rate a 2.0. The last 3-3.5 miles is mostly old fire road, with not much challenge besides the occasional rocky section. If you are out for an easy, scenic ride, this would rate high, but if you like technical stuff, it would be low on your list.
