Weekend Warrior Summary: Easy trail, easily accessible. Great ride before work or on your easy day. Great for families. One steep incline at the beginning of the ride. Recommended Route: Park at the Fort Tuthill fairgrounds or yellow churchhouse in University Heights if heading towards Sedona. Other recommended trails in the same area: Fort Tuthill Double Track system. Pass the fairgrounds and archery ranges. Awesome, relaxing ride, great workout.

Weekend Warrior Summary: A nice fairly easy jaunt into the woods south of Flagstaff. Good for getting back into the swing of things or improving technique. A nice flat ride on the urban trail to get there then starts off with some long hills then turns into a nice and more difficult section of trail with a rock bridge and some easy switchbacks, then down into a longish downhill section that is pretty fun. Some nice fast single track at the end puts you right back at the trail head. Recommended Route: Follow the green trail markers and make sure to take the right hand side of the fork that goes up a hill a half mile or so into the trail. Then ride up that hill until you see the trail taking off to the left, (this can be a little tough to see). Take this trail until it meets up with soldier's trail proper and follow that around until you're back at the trail head. Other recommended trails in the same area: Aldam, Fisher point

Cross Country Rider Summary: Soldier trail is fairly easy, but the bridge trail makes up for it. I didn't see anyone on the trail at all except for some Mexican guy sitting up against a tree off in the forest. Strange. No traffic Saturday afternoon? That earns an extra star. Bridge trail is fun both ways and definitely makes the trail. Recommended Route: Start at the trailhead near the horse jumps. Go counter-clockwise around the loop and take the bridge trail back to the main trail. Then do it again going the other way. Bomb back down towards the trailhead. Don't bother riding the bit through the fairgrounds.
