Take HWY 180 2 miles north out of Flagstaff heading toward The Grand Canyon. Turn right at milepost 218.5 heading toward Schultz Pass. When the road splits don't go up Mt. Elden Lookout Road. Immediately after the road turns dirt, turn right and go down into the parking lot.
Summary: This trail is all that the other reviewers say it is...fast, fun, twisty, and easy. It's a great warm up or cool down to a more serious ride, or a great easy spin just to open up the arteries. It's spectacularly beautiful. All that being said, this is a high traffic trail, especially during weekends and evenings. Hikers, dogs, horses, mountain bikers of every ability or lack of, runners, horses and rock climbers are frequently encountered. Railing it at 25+ generally results in at least one person scrambling to clear the trail, which gives us all a bad name. This trail is best enjoyed at the beginning or end of a ride at a fun, but relaxed pace. There are lots of trails geared more toward downhilling, Schulz Creek is just a little to crowded to rail responsibly.
Other recommended trails in the same area: If you're pedaling, I recommend going up Schulz to Schulz tank, then climbing out the back to Sunset, then up to the Catwalk. Turn around, go down Sunset, then climb to Dry Lakes, then hit Jedi or Keni(sp), finish with a relaxed run down Schulz. If you're shuttling, take the catwalk to the top of Sunset, then follow the same route down to Schulz Pass road, or hit Wasabi or Onion and skip Schulz Creek altogether.

Summary: Fun and fast, like everyone else has said. I love to ride fast down this trail and hit all the launch pads for some sweet air. Definitley one of the funnest spots in Flag.
Recommended Route: Take Sunset trail first and connect up with Schultz for a sweet, fast, easy, and fun downhill.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Any. It's Flagstaff.

Summary: Best beginning and/or ending trail in Arizona. Easy roll on the way up (use at least middle ring, or a SSer will blow past you), a good warm up for some great riding on Mt Elden. Then, a fun, fast ride on the way down to end the day. You can catch air, rail turns, and practically taste some AT Stout from Mogollon that will quench your thirst and of course make the story about your ride a hell of a lot more interesting. Or not; quit slurring and leaning on me you SOB.
Recommended Route: Up...find some trails...then down.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Any you can find.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Summary: A really fast trail with only a few technical sections. Riding up isn't all that bad, and coming down is a blast. Though not technical there are only a few sections where you have to slow down. After a lite(just enough to make the trail tacky) rain this trail can be ridden even faster. The small drops and rocks make for excellent launch pads, and the turns can really be taken with speed. Not overly challenging, but defiantly a must ride.
Recommended Route: up Lower oldham, up Elden jeep road or up Upper Oldham, down sunset, down Little Bear, up Little Elden, down Schultz Creek and back to town.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Little Bear, Sunset, The Oldhams, and the Brookbanks. And quite a few other trails such as log jam.

Summary: A total blast!! Super fast singletrack with lots of room to manuever. Excellent ride combined with Sunset Tr. Best ride of 10 day holiday. Can be ridden by most people depending on conditions and speed. Beginners would not enjoy this ride in the upper sections of Sunset. Get route information at a local bike shop.
Recommended Route: Ride up lookout road and return to Schultz via Sunset TR. and other connecting singletrack.
