Cross Country Rider Summary: This Review is for the competive track. There are 3 one way loops that can be ridden seperatley or combined. These are not your normal scenic trails but great high speed single track. If you like to push yourself you'll love these. these tracks require 100% of your attention 100% of the time. The tech. loop has some serious drops and the longest climb. The sport loop is the fastest with some suprises thrown in (take it easy the 1st time). The long loop is the rockiest. All can be ridden by the average rider, but are more fun the faster you go. Also the very large rattle snakes are used to people and not agressive, but they WILL NOT yield the trail. get off and go around. Recommended Route: Get map at park entrance. go to parking area. have a great ride. Other recommended trails in the same area: only trail ridden in this area. but if you are in the Las Cruces NM area , go over to Dona Ana, NM. exit 9 off I-25. the new trails are simular in layout and the ride back down the rollacoster. will remind you why you MTB

Cross Country Rider Summary: This must be a professionally designed cross country single track course. Not just a nicely mapped out course, it's more like a top ranked golf course. If you like getting out and grinding that big chain ring, going through twists and turns at top handling speeds, down short steep drops and up short power climbs this is the place. The large loose rocks will get to you after a while and the course can get monotonous, even mixing up all three loops. Just go fast! Recommended Route: Any combination of all three loops will do. Other recommended trails in the same area: McDowell Mountain, it's totally different.

Cross Country Rider Summary: From pro level technical tracks (technical loop) to amateur weekend trails (Pemberton Trail) McDowell Mountains has it all. The park features a nationally recognized multi-use competitive track that hosts the 24 hours of Adrenaline. There is an entry fee of $5 per carload however it is well worth the price. The Parks and Recreation Department puts together a nite riding event called “Mountain Biking in the Moonlight” which usually has an attendance of over 60 bikers riding 16 miles of Pemberton Trail. Be wary of the sandy terrain and wild animals. It’s a well marked park. Enjoy the ride! Recommended Route: Went to McDowell Mountain through Fountain Hills. Trails are very well-marked and easy to follow. Requires very good aerobic condition Other recommended trails in the same area: Desert Clasic and Mormon Loop at South Mountain in Phoenix Arizona

, from Marin Ca. Summary: An intermediate rider can ride all 3 loops. A good place for a beginner to learn on the sport loop. There is very little elevation change but you still need to be pretty fit to do the long and tech loops. All in all, if you are starting to learn to ride single track, this is a great place. If you ride a lot, I found that I was board after experiencing all 3 loops. It's a good place if you are limited on time but I would find other areas to explore since I'm not from the area. I enjoyed the trails and the 85 degree heat. Probably a great place for a nite ride in the summer. By the way, it's well marked and you won't get lost. Enjoy!! Recommended Route: Do all 3 loops.

, from glendora Summary: My hat is off to the designers of this mountain bike park. If you go, you will see that this unique configuration of trails is superior. In mountain biking, momentum is everything. This place is a gravity cheating haven. I have ridden many trails, but this trail will put you in the zone any time of day. This trail is pure exileration. Some of the reviewers say it grows on you. The first loop told me that this place is very special. Anyone who comes to Phoenix should come here first. Recommended Route: hit the sport loop, then the long loop and then the tech loop and then the sport loop and then the tech loop and so on and so forth Other recommended trails in the same area: Dreamy Draw rec area: many miles of fun, technical, rolling trails. You assemble the route.
