Downhiller Summary: There is nothing Knarly about this short fire road connection. Its a fun short climb and a fun short decent. Recommended Route: up shultz creek and a right at the gate... Other recommended trails in the same area: explore fort valley

Weekend Warrior Summary: i'd say that this is more of an old jeep road that has erroded to a wide trail with boulders and tons of babies heads. you really have to pick your lines through this part. the bottom part is fairly smooth, and the top is more erroded. Recommended Route: shultz, gnarly, then jedi or brookbank(upper or lower), or any other trail you can find up there

Cross Country Rider Summary: I think this is a fun quickie. Definitely a connector trail, not to be riden without heading onto bigger and better trails. And I agree with Bullit, Rocky should ride elsewhere, we dont need negative riders in Flag.

, from Flagstaff, AZ Summary: Yes, this is a wide trail, but for mere mortals you are confined to a very narrow line, especially on the way up. This trail is an exercise in zen. Focus, breathing, balance and awareness are all key elements of making it up (I'll go up, since other reviews are down) this evil rockgarden. Last time I was there I heard a woodpecker in the aspens but I was so intent on making it to the top that I didn't bother looking. Its a nice challenge. Recommended Route: Many great ways to get there, but I usually use it as a connector between Schultz Creek and Brookbank. Other recommended trails in the same area: Almost every other trail on Mt. Elden spurs out from this one. Try them all!
