Downhiller Summary: Just great stuff here!! The day I rode this I also rode Geronimo and actually like this one better although you can carry more speed on Geronimo. Armor here is wise as is a DH helmet. To me there was about two sections I had to walk and the switchbacks are tight but there was a permagrin on my face the entire way down. Do not take a beginner on this. They label this trail extreme for a reason. I consider myself an above average DH/AM rider and this one was a challenge but it will hone and or improve your skills. Be 150% focused or it can hurt you bad. VERY enjoyable, can't wait to ride it again!! Recommended Route: Shuttle......... Drop and experience the rush!!!! Other recommended trails in the same area: Geronimo

Downhiller Summary: Wow i cant even explain how awesome this trail is. I ride south mountain at least 3 times a week and most of the time im riding holbert. It is a perfect trail for toneing your skills and learning how to link up turns and switchbacks. It is not a good trail for first timers but if they do go down it it will help with their overall skills and will help them learn. Recommended Route: well shuttling is the best but im old fashioned and i ride up. I live on the ahwatukee side and i hike up telegraph and then ride 2 miles on the rode and then i go down holbert and then i ride to los lomitas and hike up the trail there thne ride the rode and go back down telegraph

Weekend Warrior Summary: I've only ridden xc before and one day i decided to try something a little more crazy. I went straight home after this trail and bought a 6in. travel fork and am currently looking for a frame to build a DH bike. This trail is nothing short of inspiring. As stated above- there is no aerobic workout in this trail, i pedaled probably 30 times in 2.5 miles. But it will push you to your technical limits- i walked about 15% of this(i've been riding about 14 months) Recommended Route: see above - i took the central ave to dobbins lookout and had a car waiting at the bottom to go do it again. Other recommended trails in the same area: national and mormon loop

Downhiller Summary: Off camber!! The most work out for your legs with out peddaling, not to mention the fore arm burn. This trail and I have a love hate relationship. Don't let your guard down or you're bleeding. Recommended Route: Shuttle is the only the best. Start on the national up by the towers, fast fun single track before the torture begins. Other recommended trails in the same area: 24th ST, Boy Scout, Mormon, National, Hidden Valley, Telegraph but not on weekends.
