Ridden Trail:
Ridden Once

Summary:
Other than being a bit tricky at the start, this loop is well marked and simple to follow. I rode this one with my fiance and chose it specifically for it's tame rating. As advertised there was nothing too scarey or dangerous and it actually turned out to be quite fun. For us the real gem of this ride was the hike/scramble up to the top of the Cockscomb spires. I brought along a little lock and stashed our bikes in the brush while we climbed up to the top and enjoyed what must be one of the best views in Sedona. The last few miles of gravel and dirt road back to the truck weren't the greatest (how many pink jeeps are there?), but still what a fun and memorable day. Thanks Cosmic Ray.

Recommended Route:
We rode this loop clockwise as recomended in Cosmic Ray's book.

Reviewed by: Cornholio , from Flagstaff, AZ

Summary:
The entire loop is about 7 miles. Not a great trail, some fun rolling semi-singletrack at the beggining(going clockwise), good views of Cockscomb and West Sedona.
No tough climbs and no technical sections, it's pretty easy. Just watch the barb wire and cactus section toward the end, twisty singletrack through an area that doesn't get much traffic means some scratches from pointy bits.

Recommended Route:
Park at one of the areas off of Dry Creek Road. Ride the loop clockwise for easier navigation, but after you know all of the route it's probably better counterclockwise. This way you can get the gravel roads out of the way in the beginning and enjoy some singletrack later.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Teacup, etc.
