Summary:
I have heard a lot of good things about this trail. I even went into the local bike shop, and even they liked this trail, and even had trail maps for this trail only. I was stoked to ride my first trail in AK.
I was very disapointed! There is no singletrack, it was completely flat, nothing technical at all. I was hoping for maybe one tree root, or one rock. Nothing, just sand about 5 inches deep the whole way. I did finally see a hill, so I quickly climbed it. It was nothing, didnt break a sweat, wasnt out of breath, and still didn't have a tree root, this was a complete waste of time! I probably have gotten spoiled from the other GOOD trails in Utah, Colorado, or Michigan, but I was expecting a lot more from Alaska. I'm not giving up though, I have heard of some other good trails here, hopefully one of these will have something to offer. This is probably a nice place to xc ski, but as far as biking goes, this is probably the worst "trail" I have ever set two wheels on! If you are visiting, and looking for a trail, I would skip this one, if you are a beginner looking for a trail, I would skip this one because this isn't really what trail riding is

I havn't found any yet, but I am looking. If anyone knows of a decent trail around the tsalteshi trail, I'd like to hear about it.

Summary:
Lots-o-trails. Has some awesome points all over. Downhills, up hills, flat hard pack, Can have some mud spots if lots of rain, makes it fun. Makes for a great family ride and also racing against your buddies. You can ride for as little as 30 minutes or all day. Good for all skills.

Recommended Route:
See map at trail site well marked
