13 Miles past Chitina (the settlement of Strelna) on the MacCarthy Road. Look for the round white sign on the North side of the road. Follow the road about 2.3 miles to the Trailhead. Look for the big handpainted trail sign. Don't take the left uphill fork in the road, stay to the right and cross the creek. The trailhead is marked with a sign across the creek, a bear has been cheiwing on the sign.
