Jim Creek-Knik River

From the Parking lot, approx. 1 1/2 miles to the Knik River. Playing in the sand dunes is challenging. Once you get to the river bank, you can take it as far toward the Knik Glacier as you dare. Try doing the trip during the week. All the trails are rutted from motorized. On weekends you'll get run over by ORVs. Get involved with upcoming trail meetings by the local community council to stake your claim for bike trails. The scenery is awesome. So's the fishing in July and August.
