Southfork Trail

This beautiful trail wraps around the mountain and quickly opens up views of Chugach Mtns and far down below Campbell Creek. Look behind you and you'll see the bases and Denali. Follow the trail or try a small single track. You'll end up at Flattop parking lot if you keep heading up. Remember, it's a straight shot all the way back to Prospect Heights.

Summary:
Alright. The singletrack's good going down and challenging going up. Other than that I don't enjoy riding the 4 wheel trails as much. Good workout, but lacks the technical riding. Fun and highly technical if you ride it down from flattop, but it isn't as good of a workout then. I just moved up here this summer and am looking for other cross country riders to ride with. If you like sigletrack and know where some good riding is-- drop me an email. bestskiier69@hotmail.com aaron

Recommended Route:
Take spencer loop and take the cut off right before you get to the bigger climbs. From there you go on some technical (normally muddy) singletrack. This will lead to the powerline and from there it's mostly uphill 4-wheel trails till you get to flattop
