Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Oakland, CA Summary: This is the trail to do on a clear day. Some great views of the ocean and the city, very scenic. WWII jeep trail with relics along the way. Very easy trail with just a few good climbs. From the pull out a nice downhill run for a ways with just the normal Alaska potholes to avoid. About 3.3 miles to Cliff point. On the way back after the yellow gate, go right, cross the stream ( depth can vary due to rain) and the trail becomes a very nice single track climbing the hill through a young spruce forest. At Dragonfly lake go left at the intersection and you will rejoin the road you came in on. Very nice trail for views. It is very easy and is ridable any season. Recommended Route: West out of Kodiak on the Chiniak Hwy, 14.3 miles. Other recommended trails in the same area: Burma road,Chiniak to point Sequel
