New, smooth XC style trail that runs along the Tenn. River overlooking the Wheeler Damn. Trail passes a very old and forgotten scenic overlook. Trail has some mild climbs, mostly middle chainring.

Summary:
Hello Fellow Mountain Bikers,
This trail was built by the same man who is responsible for Oak Mt. State Park trail and Mt. Cheaha trail. It is a good trail for the beginner rider,or family rides with the wife and kids. It is a 3.4 mile loop, very wide trail. No technical sections at all. The ride overlooks the Tennessee River at three different points and winds up back at the parking lot. I hear that there more trails yet to come, supposedly 500 acres have been donated for trails to be built. Hopefully, future trails will be challanging for the more experienced riders.

Recommended Route:
From the parking lot I recommend starting your ride on the trail on the right side from the parking area. It is a loop, so you'll come right back either way you to, but there is a good downhill run going this way which offers a great view of the river.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Wildwood Park in Florence has some great trails to challange the more experienced riders. From moderate to more technical trails, Wildwood offers a total of about 5 miles of trails. It is right below
