Genes Loop

Average Rating:    (3.4 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 10

Singletrack throughout with the exception of a brief period on a jeep trail near the beginning and pavement near the end. The trail winds through longleaf pine forest as well as stands of oak, hickory etc. One hard climb followed by a very fun and fast and narrow downhill make the trail a winner. Also, there are a couple of log obstacles on the trail. All in all the trail is a lot of fun.

Summary:
Gene's loop is a good beginners course but be started at the exit and it was a bit muddy, it had rained a good bit a couple days prior. we got soaked. I reccommend starting at the enterance. It was up hill most of the way started at the exist. It was be better if you are a beginner starting at the enterance. There are alot of loggers cutting the tree's so it can be a bit confusing but still a good ride. Can't wait to ride again.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Mark's loop and the famuly route is a good rife for beginners also.

Summary:
This is great trail that I have ridden for years. There have been many improvements to this trail since 2004. Lately they put in some small log stunts. This is a great trail for everyone. Smooth singletrack baby!

Recommended Route:
clockwise is the way to go, counter-clockwise is too easy.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Marks, iron legs, cheaha
