Blakeley State Park

It would be a better ride if the trail was maintained a little better. There are a few good climbs and descents, but most of them are spoiled by fallen tree limbs. It look slike they're rebuilding some of the boardwalks as well. There is a very nice trail known as "Breastworks", but unfortunately it's illegal to bike there. It's $4 for cyclists to get in.

Summary:
If you've ridden everything else in the area and need something different, or don't mind paying the $4, Blakely is actually ok. As long as you stay away from the delta explorer/beach area, there is actually less sand than most other local ares. There isnt much in the way of singletrack...most of the trails are pretty wide, but the upside is they're relatively clean and fast. There is still some singletrack though, and if you look around there are even some advanced areas for more experienced riders.

Recommended Route:
After entering the park, drive straight until the road dead ends. at the end of the road will be the entrance to the Forever Wild trail, which will take you to pretty much every other trail in the park. The park map does a pretty good job of laying it out...look for the squirrels nest trsil for some fun, if not a little short, singletrack.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
USA, UWF, Village Point, Chickasabogue, Lake Forest
