TC Jester Park Trail

Average Rating:    (2 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 8

Pretty nice, this trail surrounds TC Jester park. There is a drainage ditch that offers up some good uphilling and downhill experience. Watch for high water in the ditch.

Summary:
I spent a few hours cleaning up the storm damage this past Sat. and the trail is 100% rideable. It has some really cool sections but it needs about 4 people to sweep thruough as a work crew and chop some face slapping twigs and branches to make it rideable at speed. Check it out. Bring your machete and contribute a little sweat to what could be a really cool place to ride.

Recommended Route:
Park @ pool with the big high dive on tc jester between 34th & 43rd.Ride south on bike/hike trail till you see railroad bridge-cross over bayou turn right.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Rio Motocross track on east mount houston- east of 59.Go there , ask Al how to get to the trails across the bayou from the track and also bring a machete.CALL Matt at Cyclone Cycles &13 668-2104 for more info.

Summary:
This is not really much of a trail. A new concrete bike and hike trail was put in and is nice to ride just for the exercise so you don't have to battle cars, but you must always be on the watch for people walking. The trail goes from Pinmont all the way to 11th street. There is a cinder track from 43rd to the rail road tracks that you can ride too.

Recommended Route:
Just follow the yellow lines

Other recommended trails in the same area:
You are better off crossing the bayou and riding the swamp

Summary:
if you enterd of of watonga street cross the street bridge and follow the trail along the slimy culvert, to your right as you come up along the bayou (where the culvert ends) the single track starts. its real easy to follow the orange ribbons on the trees to your right every 20 yards or so. it twists it turns up down left right slow fast Etc..for about a 6 mile loop. the trails are so so in the winter "not a lotta traffic" however it gets in good shape in the spring and summmer they have an "outlaw sweatfest race" every june after the texas norba spring series. that attracts a lotta riders. so it gets in shape then, untill the crappy fall/winter weather floods it out.

Recommended Route:
across the bayou from the t.c. jester pool "you can't miss it"
