Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rode by the trail one day after a rain thinking it would be too wet. Wrong; sandy soil was in perfect condition. Roughly speaking there are 3 trails that run between Cypress Creek and the subdivision, a wide gravel, a single track gravel, and a natural surface single-track. Less than 4 miles all-together. Beginner level with several advanced options, and more being added. Don't make a special trip for these trails, but if you're in the area you can have a 1/2 hr. of fun. Recommended Route: Maps at all the trailheads, can't get lost, just go ride.

You can ride very fast if you want and made a lot of miles. Other recommended trails in the same area: Cypresswood is the best.......
You have 5 miles of great trail in perfect condition, few difficulty.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Cross Country Rider Summary: Great trails! I try to ride twice a week I can't get enough. But since hurricane Ike there are logs and limbs everywhere you cant tell where the trail ends or begins and it's so cool. Before Ike this place was a jungle but in some areas only tall trees stand no bushes nothing. Now you can really see the ground. There could be hardcore trails in the future. It just needs the right people to make it happen. Another plus tall trees cover the trails so the sun is won't tire you out.(lol) It will take a few more weeks before it's completly cleared from Ike. Until then I will be hopping fallen trees. Awesome begginer trail and then some.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Nothing hard about it, but what a scenic and relaxing ride! Starts you off on a gravel road to share with the walking folk, but after you follow the creek for a little while it branches off for bikes. The signs are much like the ones up in Huntsville State Park, and it is very easy to keep your bearings. While it doesn't challenge you in difficulty (and of course, we in Spring don't know what real hills are), it certainly is a ride worth checking out.
I was impressed with the scenery so much I plan on taking my camera with me next time. You follow the creek for a lot of the path, and even pass a small swamp. It is still new and extremely well kept. Hats off to the trail stewards!
If you are into the hardcore stuff, count this one out. If you are looking for a calm and relaxing ride with the occasional thrill, then you should definitely make it out for this one. Recommended Route: There's only one :) Other recommended trails in the same area: Cypresswood Trails is slightly more technical, but not as scenic and wide open
