Summary:
Went back a couple of weeks ago. Totally screwed by moto-xers and four-wheelers. Damn near unridable. And the little trail off the hike & bike, behind the stop & rob? History. Another stupid strip mall took it out. Bastards. Minus a million stars.

My bro just started riding again, and clued me in on a trail on the north side, off Cypresswood. Gonna check it out soon and let ya know.

Summary:
I live about 5 miles from this trail, so I took my 6-year-old son out to ride it. Dave's review describes it pretty well. When I was there, many of the trails were rutted from 4X4 and ATV use. Aside from that it was not challenging, but definitely more fun than riding on the road or a bike path. Saw a couple of trails going off into the woods, but again they were rutted out and full of water and mud. Perhaps there is more here when it is dry. I did find an easy drop and some fun dirt hills/jumps just off the main trail. My son has a little BMX bike, and is just starting to ride off road. This was a great place for him to try out some small hills and jumps. This area could be improved with a little work, but then the ATV crowd would probably come out and mess it up after the next rain. It is worth checking out if you live very close and want an easy trail ride or a fun place to play around in the dirt. If you travel far to get here, you will be disappionted.

Recommended Route:
Any way that isn't too rutted out by 4X4s.

Summary:
At first, it's a service road (dirt) for the golf course, but goes to a high-tension line right-of-way service road. There's several four-wheeler trails that branch off, made by the local kids, with some nice drops and climbs for beginners or those needing a pre-season/in-btween real-trail workout. I found this place a while back, but it was too muddy to really explore thoroughly. I did about 3 miles on it today, and missed some trails that went into the woods because of time restraints. Good trail for the kids, too...nothing too technical, but satisfactory for getting up the heartrate. Watch for the mexicans who work on the golf course...they like to take dumps in the woods nearby, and if you roadies get on the golf cart track (very nicely paved, both sides of Bay Area, lots of turns and hills! Great!), you'll get run off by the groundskeeper. The main trail probably goes all the way to Brittany Bay and along a deep drainage ditch.

Recommended Route:
From I-45, go west on Bay Are Blvd until it dead-ends. Turn like you're going to the clubhouse, and keep going. Several routes branch off from main trail.

A little-bitty short one, nice and woody, technical, but it's a secret.
