Summary:
This trail is a gem of Fort Worth. The trail has great flow and a little of everything. Good hills to climb (great for training). If you want to be a great all around mountain biker this is the trail for you to master.

Recommended Route:
Ride the green and blue loop and then attack the red. On the red be ready for climbing. If you are going to the trail for the first time hit up the fwmba.org forums and see if you can find someone that is going out to ride and they can guild you.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Northshore, IDB, Johnson Branch, and OCNP.

Summary:
This is a great trail and definitely one of the most challenging in the DFW area in terms of climbing. While it is true that there is a good amount of broken glass on this trail (it's in a fairly shady part of town and there are some shady looking characters hanging around sometimes), the trail itself is fairly well maintained. It's called singletrack for a reason, and this park is pretty much all tight singletrack. If you want smooth, wide, XC riding, go to RCP or River Legacy.

Anyways, this is mostly rocky, fast singletrack. there are short but steep climbs all over the place. It's not incredibly technical, but there really isnt anything in DFW that is super technical anyways. The Dam Drop (the second red section you come to) is the steepest and most technical part of the trail. Overall, its a great trail for fast, rocky singletrack

Recommended Route:
I've always found it very easy to navigate this trail and have never run into any dead-ends. Just follow the painted rocks. Green for easy, blue for intermediate, red for advanced. At the parking lot, go down the gravel road next to the picnic area, then take your first left onto the singletrack.

I prefer to take the blues, hit Joel's Loop (the first red section), more blues, down Dam Drop and do Lone Wolf. If I still have the legs, I'll do 3-Fer Madness

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Northshore, JB, OCNP?

Summary:
Broken Glass abounds. Bring lots of tubes. It's almost like someone went around the trail and scattered glass. Not only is there glass, but trash as well.

No trail markers anywhere. Start on one trail and then lo and behold, you happen to a dead end. I did see one rock that was painted blue, but that helped none.

The trail is one of the narrowest one I've seen. Trees hug both sides of the trail and even stick out into the trail. There needs to be some serious cutting back of growth.

Rocks, rocks, and more rocks. There is no way to explain it except that it is way too rocky in most areas to ride. Rocks aren't bad except none of the ones on this trail are embedded. This trail had cantaloupe sized, loose rocks everywhere.

For lack of a better word, this place was a dump that someone decided to put some sort of a trail on. Went once for fun, and will never go back.

Recommended Route:
Get in you car and head home.

Summary:
These are some great trails with great views of Lake Worth. There are many different options as far as difficulty is concerned, but all of which are going to require some work. Beware of goatheads and glass around, you might want to carry extra tubes as on my first day I popped both of my tires.

Be safe, there are some difficult sections, but most of all enjoy! These are an absolute treasure of Fort Worth.

Recommended Route:
Lone Wolf Section is incredible. The website is:
