Summary:
Although not many posts over the last few years, this is an outstanding trail, well maintained and a lot of fun. Only 90 minutes from Dallas.

The trail system has something for everyone, mostly single tracks.

My kids (6 & 8) love it (Hole in the Tree - Sweet fun downhill, The Oaks).

My wife enjoys it a lot (Though Breaks (great views), Horseshoe (rocky stuff), Copperhead (smooth single track)).

And my hard core riding buddies love it (Devils Back Bone (Very hard, 2500' climbing over a 3.5 miles, lots of switchbacks), Split Ears (nice views, good climbing), Horseshoe (rocky stuff), The Holler (dry creek bed canyon)).

You can camp anywhere on the property.

It even made National Geographic a few issues ago as one of the best MTB spot in US.

Recommended Route:
Easy Route: Amarillo Flat, Hole in the Tree, The Oaks

Intermediate Route: Horseshoe, Split Ear, Rustler, The Holler, The Oaks, Hole in the tree

Experts: Horseshoe, Devil's Back Bone, Though Breaks, Rustler, The Holler, The Oaks, Hole in the tree.

Summary:
I finally got a long awaited free weekend to go ride the breaks, and it was well worth the wait. Awesome trails, although "the holler" was mostly sand/gravel and very slow riding, the coolness of this earth sunken-like creekbed was worth at least one ride. The horseshoe was probably my favorite due to its semi-challenging climb with great views from the top (you can see for miles and miles) followed with a good fast downhill. Me and the wife camped 2 nights and I still didnt get enough. I cant wait to go back even if its for a partial day. Even if you bring some company that dont ride, there are plenty of flat easy trails available for recreational type riding. So bring anyone that you can, the more the better.

Every damn bit of it!

There arent any other places to ride around these parts.....and even if there were, the Breaks at Bar-H is where you would want to spend your time in the saddle!

Summary:
This trai is a blast. I especially liked the Armadillo Flats trail. It was fast, flowing and had some good jumps and drops into a creek. This place has everything. Heart exploding climbs, and super fast downhills. Most is hardpack, but there is a little loose gravel in some places. I definately liked this trail and will be back!

Recommended Route:
All of it!
