This is not a trail for the timid. The descents are
almost vertical, with lots of dropoffs onto babyhead-
strewn chutes. In other words, BURLY!!! If you actually think north shore is technical, you are NOT ready for this! But if you want to put your skills to the
test, this is about the best the metroplex has to offer.
To quote one local:" these trails are so dope, you could sell them to David Lee Roth by the dime bag!"
Word.
Take I-30 to Beach street going south. Take Lancaster to Collard on left. Two blocks up, go
right on Meadowbrook. Follow Meadowbrook to
Chelsea on left. About 50 feet up on left is trailhead.
At the bottom of the 3/4 mile (or so) downhill, take
a left. It will take several rides to find all of the trails
contained within this rat-maze. WARNING: this trailhead is in a kind of shady neighborhood, so if you
are worried about your car getting broken into, you
may want to hide any valuables (word to the wise).
Summary: I can't say much about this trail as I only rode for about 5 minutes before a flat and I didn't have a spare. From what I saw it looks like it has a lot of potential. It would be nice if FWMBA took it over from the City of Ft. Worth. Many of the trails were overgrown with brush but there was some decent elevation changes.
We couldn't find a place to park except on the street in front of someone's house. There were several signs around stating the trails are for foot traffic only, forbidding bicycles, motorcycles, and vehicles (city ordinance). It IS in a shady hood and the locals are not afraid to let you know that you're not supposed to ride there. When we left there were two of FWPD's finist in the neighborhood; don't know if they were called because of us or not.
I think these would be nice trails if it weren't against the law to ride there and if there was a place to park.

Summary: It has the potential to be a great trail. There has been no trail maintenance as far as I could tell. If CAMBA (or anyone, someone) took over I believe it would be a great addition to Fort Worths MTB trails.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Z Boaz, Burleson park if you want a quick run

Summary: For anyone not familiar with Fort Worth please take this route to get to the trail. Take I-30, exit Oakland, and go south, to park near NBC channel 5, turn left, on Barnett and follow the road toward the huge antennas. There is a trailhead right pass the fenced off area. To go to the trail head off Chelsea, follow Oakland to Meadowbrook, and take a left Chelsea should be your next right, there is a big wooden sign on the corner marking where the trail begins, you can drop, and I do mean drop on the trail right past the benches. I got lost trying to get here, if you use yahoo maps, just map the driving directions from your location to Chelsea Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76103. FYI there is a Chelsea Dr; do not go here there are no trails. After getting lost trying to find the place, I contacted the police for directions, they stated the area isn’t really bad, just make sure you lock your doors, and you should be ok. As for the trail, this place looks more like a jeep trail than anything I have ridden in North Texas, or Louisiana. When I first stated I thought I wish I would have brought my hard tail instead of my Full Suspension, rig, and then I found the rocks; bring your Full Suspension bike. This place has to be one of the most enjoyable rides in the area. Hard to believe in right off interstate 30. The trails seem to go on and on, it’s actually pretty easy to get lost, but getting back to your car is easy, you just hop off the trail and hit I30, and head back to your car. I actually had and incident where I screamed like al little g…. well I creamed like a British actor pretending to be a little girl. I like the trail a lot, but if you are in at least ok shape you may want to wait a bit. The drops are fun, but there are just as many climbs. Watch out for the tarantulas, and 4WD’s, the area is closed to motor traffic, but something cut these trails, and it wasn’t a car or a Quad bike, and I have a strong feeling this trail should not be ridden after it has rained. Have fun, this is a great trail; I wish DORBA would review it.
Recommended Route: I have only ridden this trail once so far, but I would suggest starting at Chelsea Rd,, drop in, and have fun, there are a few creek crossings, and big pipe crossings, its a strange place, but fun. If you ride up the road further on Chelsea Rd, and stay to the right, you will see a couple of other places to get on the trail.
Other recommended trails in the same area: This is the fisrt trail I have ever heard of in Fort Worth, but if you don't mind going to Arlington, which isn't to far you may wnat to visit River Legacy, of Green Oaks.

Summary: This trail has potential to be the best extreme in the area. Full suspension is a must. It is rocky, up and down, and not for the weak of heart. I've ridden in Colorado and this trail, with TLC, can be the best extreme trail Tx can offer.
Recommended Route: Park at channel 5
Other recommended trails in the same area: North Shore, Cleburne
