a beginner to intermediate trail, which is mostly flat, with short climbs. A good mix of hard pack, gravel, and loose soil, with roots, and switchbacks, it is technical, but not too technical. Even the most experienced rider will find this trail enjoyable. Can be very sticky after a rain.

Summary:
Nice trail and very flat. You can HAUL ass on this one. Has lots of twist thru the trees and you can work on your turns. Has some dipsy doos and a few man made jumps, a turtle, and a teter totter. Paul Hacks with DORBA has really worked hard on this one and kudos to him.

There used to be a lot of undesirables here but the city of Dallas and Paul have ran most of them off. You can make it thru in about 30 minutes and is a good 6.4 mile run that you can do in the afternoon. They have a Tuesday night run for anyone who wishes to ride at night. This is not a technical course at all.

Recommended Route:
Start counter clockwise and just follow the trail at the parking area.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Boulder Park, Arbor Creek, Sister Grove and Isle Dubois/Johnson Branch.

Summary:
This is a great trail, even though there are no real hills....but for a quick afternoon ride you can't beat it....with all the turns and tight trees this trail will keep you on your toes....on a good day you can complete it in less than 40 minutes...I like to ride it twice when I have the time. Riding this trail in the middle of the week usually means you are alone and can go as fast as you like.

Recommended Route:
The only way too go! Once your in the parking area, take your bike and head right. Puts you right in the trees and then the trail is pretty clear.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Knob hills, Northshore.

Summary:
This trail Should be reclassified as a cycle cross trail. Not much of a challenge. I don't see the advantage to switchbacks on dirt. There is no technical, climbs, rocks or the basic things required to make it a cross country trail. The only use for this trail is an easy ride in the trees.

Arobic difficulty is directly related to how hard you ride.

Recommended Route:
Why bother?

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Grapevine Northshore, Erwin, Cedar Hill

Summary:
This must be the worst trail in Dallas. First, I don't feel safe leaving my car in the parking lot. Second, there are beer bottles and trash littering the first parts of the trail. Finally, the trail is simply flat and boring with a lot of needless turns. I try to ride this trail with the intent getting a good workout, however it is just not bearable anymore. There are much better trails in the Dallas area.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
If you want an easy trail for a quick workout, go for Knob Hills instead.
